The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple, slated for inauguration on January 22 in Ayodhya, will witness the consecration ceremony of Ram Lalla on January 24, opening its doors to devotees. This sacred monument stands not just as a building but as a repository of faith and tradition rooted in India’s heart for centuries. Below are the highlighted key features of this historic temple.

1. Architectural Marvels:

  • The original design dates back to 1988 by the Sompura family of Ahmedabad, renowned for designing over 100 temples globally for 15 generations.
  • The architectural design was modified in 2020, adhering to Vastu shastra and Shilpa shastras.

2. Construction Management:

  • The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple is under the complete supervision of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust.
  • Estimated construction cost ranges from ₹1,400 crore to ₹1,800 crore.

3. Main Temple Infrastructure:

  • Traditional Nagar architectural style with Mukha Mandapa and shikhara.
  • Dimensions: Length – 380 feet, Width – 250 feet, Height – 161 feet.
  • Three-storied structure, each floor being 20 feet tall.
  • Total built-up area: 57,400 Sq.feet.

4. Different Zones and Regions:

  • Sacred area spans 70 acres, housing significant zones like Nritya, Color, Sabha, Prayer, and Kirtan Pavilions.
  • Divisions include Shri Ram Kund, Yagyashala, Hanuman Gadhi, and various other zones with mythological importance.

  • Multipurpose Distribution and Operations Room.
  • Essential public utilities, emergency medical facilities, ramps/lifts for senior citizens.

  • Three-story structure with 392 pillars and 44 gates.
